CHALLENGE
The aim of the project to prepare and introduce Equatorial Energia to the electric mobility market is to carry out a set of studies, technical and business modeling, software development and supervision and operation interfaces, proposals for regulatory contributions and also a pilot implementation with electric vehicles and recharging systems. Partial replacement of the field service fleet with electric vehicles and analysis of the results.
The focus is on prioritizing clean energy alternatives in order to reduce environmental impacts by decarbonizing the vehicle fleet.
DEVELOPMENT
The project included several studies on the state of the art of electric vehicle technology and recharging systems, the modeling of EQUATORIAL’s distribution network in Maranhão and Piauí to identify critical zones and infrastructure needs, the development of a dynamic charging algorithm to optimize the use of recharging stations, and the creation of a hotsite to manage the electric vehicle fleet, enabling reservations, location of recharging stations and monitoring of consumption indicators and fleet status.
RESULT
- Vehicle replacement: The pilot implementation replaced part of the service fleet with electric vehicles.
- Rota do Sol: the pilot project electrified the São Luís/MA to Teresina/PI route with the installation of 3 electric vehicles and 7 charging stations (3 fast and 4 semi-fast).
- Fast stations with up to 60 kW per connector in direct current and up to 43 kVA in alternating current; semi-fast stations with up to 22 kVA per connector in alternating current.
- Dynamic Charging: Development of dynamic charging for recharges with a view to saving money and sustaining the infrastructure.
