CERTI developed, in partnership with Brava ECM (Datasul/TOTVS), a pioneering proposition, accepted by FINEP, with the goal of creating a sales model for television products. This challenge also involved issues relating to security and Ginga (Brazilian middleware for digital TV)
From this, payment and content presentation models suitable to the Brazilian context were created. These models were used to generate prototypes and derivative applications. Usability tests on different types of profiles were conducted to improve the final solution. During the development, the team also created a set of plugins and automation tools to facilitate the work, since until then there was nothing similar in Ginga. Finally, a study was conducted and mechanisms implemented to ensure the security of this kind of transaction.
The TV commerce application developed became a national reference because it was an unprecedented Ginga solution. Brava ECM used this to create a new business area, called Brava ITV, to meet this demand for interactive applications. In addition, a series of articles were published as a result of this project and examined: usability experiments, organization of TV commerce models, interaction of Ginga applications with social networks.
