INDUSTRIAL PRODUCT OR PROCESS
CERTI develops embedded systems by employing a set of software and hardware assets that allow reutilizing concepts, applications and interfaces for convergent products. This practice, together with the use of innovative methodologies and agile development approaches, guarantees fast, flexible results for clients in various sectors.
CERTI, through its team for engineering and development of embedded systems, implements new functionalities and innovations in electronic products, and combines this with project optimization of designs to reduce size, need for computational resources and product cost.
Electronic project (hardware)
An electronic project consists of: an initial concept, a survey of requirements and options, the specification of components, preparation of electronic schematics, preparation of the layout, prototyping and prototype assembly, testing, verification and validation. The CERTI Foundation is adept at developing analog and microprocessed electronic products and projects for various fields, such as: electronics for lighting, automation and control of machines and processes, embedded electronics for electromedical devices, data conditioning and acquisition, telemetry and consumer electronics.
Mechanical and micromechanical project (precision mechanics)
The mechanical project consists of: an initial concept, the specification of materials and manufacturing processes, detailing and dimensioning of components, creation of prototypes, testing, revisions, and product verification and validation. Only after these steps are concluded is the product ready for the next step, serial production. The micromechanical project involves the development of small, high-precision mechanical components, generally associated with dynamic systems such as actuators, drives, transmission systems, etc.
Sensors and actuators
The CERTI Foundation is able to specify, design and implement a wide variety of sensing and signal acquisition systems, developing solutions suitable to the specific needs of clients. Tactile surfaces have assumed an increasingly important role among human-machine interaction devices, especially those capable of detecting and tracking multiple simultaneous user touches. Thus, one of CERTI’s priorities is to add human factors, physical, cognitive and aesthetic components – to product design to develop ergonomic, inclusive, attractive and universally useful solutions.
Algorithms and digital signal processing
CERTI is proficient in the development of algorithms in general and, in particular, digital signal processing algorithms, as well as their implementation in programmable processors, DSP chips and FPGAs. Areas of application include the development of electromedical equipment and devices, consumer electronics, embedded computer vision and security equipment.
CERTI has a specialized and highly qualified team for the conception, development and implementation of embedded software for various sectors. The process of developing embedded software is based on the application of agile development methodologies and quality assurance through automated testing.
Some example applications are:
