It is used in all sectors of the economy (industry, commerce, agriculture and services) and is considered essential for the generation and harmonization of products and processes. It is noteworthy that demand for exact and reliable measurements has grown not only in the industrial sector and in activities related to commerce, but also in the areas of health and safety, environmental protection, communications, agribusiness and in all fields of science and engineering.
