The CERTI Foundation’s concept of integrity management was forged using the standards and good practices of various sectors that are leaders in the issue, including the Oil and Gas, Aerospace, Energy Generation and Transmission, Automotive and Capital Assets. However, it can be extended to any sectors that want to focus on the transformation of their business through data, on the road to Industry 4.0.
For CERTI:
Integrity refers to ensuring the safe operation and availability of systems throughout their service life, maintaining performance above an accepted minimum.
This means that the groups of elements (the system) should have a minimum performance level, within risk and tolerance levels acceptable to the client.
In this line, new monitoring systems or inspection processes based upon risk, data management, reliability, connections with big data and statistical analysis – and supported by artificial intelligence – all create abilities to predict errors or productivity loses and – in an evolution towards a digital twin – enable simulations with prescribed scenarios, which are integrated to tools for analyzing return on investment. All of this is part of CERTI’s “Integrity Management” solution!
Two CERTI product lines can be highlighted, which make use of our institution’s various technologies and multidisciplinary knowledge. Both lines are directly related to automation, data management, reliability and computerized systems on a path to Industry 4.0. They are:
CERTI has the ability to create, test and implement intelligent systems based on extensive knowledge in metrology, instrumentation, sensing and computerized systems, and intelligent instrumentation for product lines or embedded in products. In addition, CERTI always seeks to promote reliability of analyses (quality and integrity), measurements and the sensitivity of variables and support for steering investments. Information from sensors will always have errors and uncertainties. Crossing risks with the company’s tolerability levels creates opportunities for action through automated systems, which can also be developed or programmed by CERTI.
One very interesting line of work is the planning and implementation of digital twins of goods, products or even production lines.
Provide support for the possible implementation of Risk-Based Inspection (RBI), Maintenance Focused on Reliability or other modern techniques supported by data. This creates abilities to predict degradation and to prescribe solutions based upon hypothetical and probabilistic scenarios.
