CHALLENGE

Provide a rapid solution in the form of an app for the collection of information and data management, as well as logistical solutions for Covid-19 tests, considering the pooled testing methodology used by the contracting company, Biomehub.

DEVELOPMENT

A system, unprecedented in Brazil, aimed specifically at test collectors and patients undergoing testing. The goal is to make the Covid-19 data collection process more agile and capable of reaching five thousand registered exams in a single day, overcoming the difficulty of collecting tests of large numbers of people. Apps integrated to the system dispense with the need for time-consuming forms. Each patient that installs the app will receive a QR code that can be quickly scanned by the healthcare agent performing the collection.

RESULT

Use of the system brought agility and diagnostic security and kept sensitive patient information confidential in accordance with the Brazilian data protection law (Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados). Another advantage in addition to agility is traceability. The app allows tracing location and anonymously determine who had contact with people infected with Covid-19. The software stores a history of exams and can be integrated with laboratory databases. It can also be used to collect samples of other biomaterials and easily be adapted to detect diseases other than Covid-19.
