CHALLENGE

Implement and operationalize the Sibratec PRODSAUDE Network to expand, modernize and integrate the institutions that it comprises, meeting the country’s strategic needs. It also aims to provide support to the production sector and regulatory bodies, ANVISA and INMETRO, offering technology services – evaluation, certification and development of product and process improvements – to meet the country’s strategic demands; provide quality assurance and reliability mechanisms, overcome technical barriers, increase the competitiveness of companies and expand the national regulatory framework.

DEVELOPMENT

By organizing the executive office and a robust business model, it was possible to create the articulation needed between the stakeholders (government, professional organizations, requesting companies and laboratories) to make things run smoothly. By creating a quality management system it was possible to accelerate the more than two hundred acquisitions made to modernize the laboratories. The partnerships with SBM, ANVISA and ABIMO articulated throughout the project, are also noteworthy.

RESULT

• Development and implementation of a business model and administrative and operational system for the network
• Providing new infrastructure for the laboratories, improving their ability to provide technological testing, measurement, calibration and proficiency testing services. The competencies are associated to the automotive, capital goods, aeronautical and nautical sectors.
• Study of quality assurance of the technological services provided for healthcare products produced through additive manufacturing.
• Study of the use of open data to generate metrological value.
• Free distance education for two thousand laboratory and company professionals – in courses focused on meeting national and international technical standards – providing unique opportunities for students, companies and associated laboratories to increase their market presence through competitive advantages.
