Operating since 2005, on more than 15 national and international projects, CERTI is one of the pioneer research institutions involved in studies that led to the determination of the digital TV standard adopted by Brazil (SBTVD). It has permanent participation in the Brazilian Digital TV Forum [Fórum Brasileiro de TV Digital] and in projects with international consortiums.
In the realm of digital TV, CERTI is qualified to act on various technological levels and in projects involving the nationalization of TV equipment:

Audio and video encoding and compression standards;
